Tensions Grows Within The Don Callis Family! Mark Briscoe Finally Gets A Title Shot? Darby Allin Makes A Surprise Return! What Can We Expect For Forbidden Door?

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome to Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher, and today's blog entry I'm going to talk about the events that transpired in AEW Dynaite: Summer Blockbuster. And this time I feel like there's some points I need to talk. So let's get started! Tommaso Ciampa and Jericho's Promo. Tomasso Ciampa kicked off the show by coming out to the ring and farm more heat from the fans as he threatened Tony Schiavone of breaking his back if he wouldn't say that he's better than Chris Jericho. And just before Schiavone was going to comply, Jericho finally comes out after two weeks in absence.  When Jericho gets inside the ring to confront Ciampa, that's when things went the way I wasn't expecting. Let me explain, the first half of the segment felt pretty odd because what Jericho could say after Tommasso Ciampa attacked him, leaving him inactive for a couple of weeks, was that "Tommy" sound...

Divine Dominion Facing A Real Challenge! Death Riders and STP Collide Again! Rock Hard Robinson Takes On 100-Proof Connors! Who Earns The Ticket To Owen Hart Tournament's Semifinals?

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome all to another entry of Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka francisthewitcher and today I'm here to give you a recap of what transpired the events of last Saturday's Collision and what are my thoughts.  So let's get started! AEW Women's Tag Team Match: Divine Dominion (C) vs TayJay. The show kicked off with TayJay taking on Divine Dominion for the women's tag team titles. One of the things I really like about women's tag team wrestling is watching how two female wrestlers can works so well together to become new tag team just like what we see in the men's tag team.  The Divine Dominion have shown to be a fierce powerhouse team, and TayJay proved they're a strong hard-hitting duo, which by the way, I really enjoyed seeing how both Tay Melo and Anna Jay have become more consistent with their improvement. The match was also enjoyable too as an opening with both teams giving their best performance to...

Rush, El Toro Blanco vs MJF, El Matador! Kevin Knight Has Joined With WHO?! Mercedes Mone Comes Out As The Wild Card!

Hola, lucha fans! This is Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher, and today I'm here to bring you a new review for this week's AEW Dynamite.  The show kicked off with Rush delivering a promo about his upcoming match with MJF, but just when he was about to deliver his iconic catchphrase, MJF gets on his face and they both get into a brawl.  Not long after Andrade came to meet him just moments before the title match was starting, having a talk of hermano to hermano to wish him good luck. It was great to see them reuniting on TV in a long time. Though at the same time I wish that I could've see the moment where Andrade reunite with Naito since they both have a lot of history back in CMLL. But I digress. Singles Match For The AEW World Title: Rush VS MJF. The show started with what has to be the most intense, crude, and amazing opener that was Rush facing MJF for the AEW championship. When Rush announced he signed a contract with ...

Collision Is Back on Saturday! PROGRESS and DEFY Wrestling Sold! NJPW Bought By CyberAgent! Ibushi Seeks To Save The Culture of Pro Wrestling!

Good day, lucha fans! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher and this is Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! And today I bring you a new entry which is gonna be a little more different than the previous ones I made. While I'm looking to talk more about other brands aside just AEW, I thought I could try to make a sort of mini-review about last Saturday's Collision, and after that, I'd like to share my opinions about some news we learned during the past week. So let's get to it! Let's start with what we saw in Collision. Not only it was great to see the show again on the weekend, it also had a very interestng card compared to what we got back in Dynamite, and by that I mean is the talent that has been featured in this occassion.  For starters, we got Hazuki making her debut on AEW and facing Maya World in an outstanding match, basically to prepare Hazuki from her upcoming match against Persephone who made a return after being "injured" by Julia H...

The Road to All In Has Begun! Ospreay Paves His Way To The AEW World Title Shot! MJF's Victory Paints A Target On His Back!

Hola, my lucha fans! Welcome to Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! Today we're going to talk about what we saw in last night's AEW Dynamite/Collision show, which follows after the events of the PPV known as Double or Nothing!  So let's get started! The show opens with an interesting backstage segment where Will Ospreay bumped into Kenny Omega, and let me tell you that the way they started the show can implicate some important things we're gonna expect this Summer, but for now I'll keep quiet about it. Anyway, Kenny warned Ospreay about him trusting with the Death Riders and to be very much careful around them. Of course, Jon Moxley was in the same room and heard the conversation before implying and quote "everyone has skeletons" Like I said, it was an interesting way to start the show with an ambiguous segment that could definitely gonna lead to something big for AEW Redemption where it's taking place in Montreal, Canada. But that remai...

Ring Review - AEW Double Or Nothing 2026

What's up, my Lucha fans! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher and this is The Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! Today I'm in a great mood because last night I watched what should be not only the best PPV of the year, but also of all time! We're going to talk about AEW's Double or Nothing that took place last night! So let's get to it! First let's start with the Buy In. The pre-show started with Renee Paquette welcoming Mick Foley into All Elite Wrestlng, and to this day it still feel surreal to me that he would come long overdue to the alternative. But what made this moment so special was when Renee asked him what made him to join AEW, and his answer was what a lot of us felt the same thing years ago. We all took a break from watching wrestling or we rarely watched it, but when AEW came, they brought the passion back to us again! So it's great to hear that Foley went through the same thing as us and I hope his ...

The Nostalgia Main Card - Double Or Nothing 2019

Originally published on Tumblr in May 23rd Que tal, Lucha Fans? Welcome once again to The Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher. And today I'm here to introduce you The Nostalgia Main Card, where I talk about the old wrestling events I've watched in the past and what were my impressions. Not only that, since we're just one day away from Double or Nothing 2026, I thought this could be the perfect chance to talk about the first ever Double or Nothing, also known as AEW's first event right after it was founded. This was also the first time for a long time I came back watching wrestling after I've been distancing myself away from it for a long time. It all started when the only brand I could watch was WWE, but little by little I was starting to feel tired of the product for many plenty of reasons I don't know where to begin. You can ask me some questions in the comments or in the DM, though Anyway, there was also th...
