Lucha Corner

Hola, lucha fans! I hope you're having a good day to welcome you to the new entry of Lucha Corner, a place where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher, and today I'm going to recap and review the events of last Saturday's Collision as we're headng to Forbidden Door this Sunday! Trios Tag Team Match: The Elite vs The Lethal Twist. The show kicked off with Jack Perry and The Young Bucks taking on Jay White, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson in a trios match.  It was just about a fun opening to have Jack Perry teaming up with The Young Bucks again, given that they both have history all the way back when Jack Perry turned heel and the Young Bucks were formerly known as the EVPs.  And as I probably mentioned in my previous reviews, it's still great to see Jack Perry back to being a high-flyer wrestler, as that's what he was fondly known for. On the other hand, I feel like Blake Christian and Lee Johnson should be back as a tag team and join...

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome to another entry of Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher and today I'm going to recap and review what we all witnessed in this week's Dynamite. So let's get started, shall we? The show kicked off with a backstage interview where MJF and Don Callis makes an announcement of who will be part of MJF's team. Don Callis revealed the following members: Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and last but not least, Andrade El Idolo. However, Andrade wasn't happy with the announcement, not to mention that apparently Trent Beretta thought he was going to be in the team.  But back to Andrade, he was clearly not pleased to work with MJF, especially when he was telling Kevin Knight he would get a title shot. Don Callis, of course, tried to calm Andrade with the empty promise that he will get it. Now, about the lineup, I kinda knew that the entire MJF's team was going to be from the ...

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome to another blog entry of the Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher and today I'm here to recap and review what happened last Saturday on Collison Summer Blockbuster. So let's get started, shall we? Singles Match: Kenny Omega vs Bad Dude Tito. Kenny Omega, also known as the God of Pro Wrestling, kicked off the show by facing one of the members of TMDK, Bad Dude Tito, ahead for his upcoming match against Zack Sabre Jr. at Forbidden Door. The match was short than I could ever anticipate, but Kenny Omega had some words to say as he picked up the mic and called out ZSJ, claiming that he's the key he's looking to reach the next level. But that's not all, he also called out MJF briefly, saying it's only a matter of time, before ending his promo with his iconic catchphrase. While I actually expected that his match with Tito would last at least five minutes, I think his promo actually did good to...

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome to Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher, and today's blog entry I'm going to talk about the events that transpired in AEW Dynaite: Summer Blockbuster. And this time I feel like there's some points I need to talk. So let's get started! Tommaso Ciampa and Jericho's Promo. Tomasso Ciampa kicked off the show by coming out to the ring and farm more heat from the fans as he threatened Tony Schiavone of breaking his back if he wouldn't say that he's better than Chris Jericho. And just before Schiavone was going to comply, Jericho finally comes out after two weeks in absence.  When Jericho gets inside the ring to confront Ciampa, that's when things went the way I wasn't expecting. Let me explain, the first half of the segment felt pretty odd because what Jericho could say after Tommasso Ciampa attacked him, leaving him inactive for a couple of weeks, was that "Tommy" sound...

Hola, lucha fans! Welcome all to another entry of Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka francisthewitcher and today I'm here to give you a recap of what transpired the events of last Saturday's Collision and what are my thoughts.  So let's get started! AEW Women's Tag Team Match: Divine Dominion (C) vs TayJay. The show kicked off with TayJay taking on Divine Dominion for the women's tag team titles. One of the things I really like about women's tag team wrestling is watching how two female wrestlers can works so well together to become new tag team just like what we see in the men's tag team.  The Divine Dominion have shown to be a fierce powerhouse team, and TayJay proved they're a strong hard-hitting duo, which by the way, I really enjoyed seeing how both Tay Melo and Anna Jay have become more consistent with their improvement. The match was also enjoyable too as an opening with both teams giving their best performance to...

Hola, lucha fans! This is Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher, and today I'm here to bring you a new review for this week's AEW Dynamite.  The show kicked off with Rush delivering a promo about his upcoming match with MJF, but just when he was about to deliver his iconic catchphrase, MJF gets on his face and they both get into a brawl.  Not long after Andrade came to meet him just moments before the title match was starting, having a talk of hermano to hermano to wish him good luck. It was great to see them reuniting on TV in a long time. Though at the same time I wish that I could've see the moment where Andrade reunite with Naito since they both have a lot of history back in CMLL. But I digress. Singles Match For The AEW World Title: Rush VS MJF. The show started with what has to be the most intense, crude, and amazing opener that was Rush facing MJF for the AEW championship. When Rush announced he signed a contract with ...

Good day, lucha fans! I'm Francis aka Francisthewitcher and this is Lucha Corner, where I bring you mucho wrestling! And today I bring you a new entry which is gonna be a little more different than the previous ones I made. While I'm looking to talk more about other brands aside just AEW, I thought I could try to make a sort of mini-review about last Saturday's Collision, and after that, I'd like to share my opinions about some news we learned during the past week. So let's get to it! Let's start with what we saw in Collision. Not only it was great to see the show again on the weekend, it also had a very interestng card compared to what we got back in Dynamite, and by that I mean is the talent that has been featured in this occassion.  For starters, we got Hazuki making her debut on AEW and facing Maya World in an outstanding match, basically to prepare Hazuki from her upcoming match against Persephone who made a return after being "injured" by Julia H...
